2011-2012 South Dakota High School Football Alignments

In Class 11AA, only the top 12 teams will qualify for playoffs beginning this fall and will be seeded 1-12 using power points. The top four teams will receive a first round bye.

In the other five classes, the top three teams in each region qualify according to power points, and the next four highest rated teams statewide receive at-large berths.
